Originally known as All Music Guide, AMG was founded in 1991 to help consumers navigate the increasingly complex world of recorded music and discover the very best recordings. It was an ambitious, even overwhelming mission that would only be attempted by true music lovers like us. Backtrack is now based with our sister company, Grammar School Records, which sells all kinds of music, in the historic Rye Grammar School in Rye High Street. The Grammar School was built in 1636 by Thomas Peacocke, a local benefactor, and is of particular architectural merit.
